Becky Raymond has nineteen years of experience in adult literacy, garnered while living in Louisiana, San Francisco and Chicago. She has worked with community colleges, library-based programs, community-based organizations and supportive housing facilities. Before becoming CCLC’s inaugural Executive Director, she worked for the Jane Addams Resource Corporation, Literacy Works and ProLiteracy America. Dena Giacometti has been in the field of adult education for more than seven years. Most recently, she has served as the Adult Education Department Director at Centro Romero. In addition to administering adult education programs, Dena has been an Illinois Association of Continuing and Adult Educators (IACEA) board member and has chaired the Area Planning Council #508 of the Illinois Community College Board since 2016. Career Pathways Navigator, Robert Guzman
Since 2014, Robert Guzman has been implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), as a Safer Foundation WIA Intern, an Aunt Martha’s Youth Career Coach and a Career Counselor at Alternative Schools Network. As the Career Pathways Navigator at the Chicago Citywide Literacy Coalition, Robert will be ensuring that individuals with low skills on the south and west sides of Chicago can assess career pathways – with a special focus on helping learners at local adult basic education organization. Robert is currently working on his Masters of Business Administration from Governors State University and holds a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Chicago State University. Jazmine recently received her A.M. from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration with a specialization in Poverty and Inequality. Most recently, Jazmine worked at the Grassroots Collaborative where she was responsible for creating digital content like infographics on the budget impasse, social media posts about direct actions, and an animated video on income inequality and progressive revenue solutions in Illinois.
