Do your students want to end racism?

The Coalition is looking for adult learners for the Rooted in Racial Justice video project. In the film, learners will share their stories about racism and what adult education can do to end racial discrimination. The video will also talk about the role that literacy played in empowering African Americans in the South during the Civil Rights Movement.

We’re looking for adult learners to take part in this exciting video and honor the legacy of Citizenship Schools. Students will be paid a stipend for their participation. To participate, students must:

  • Available to attend a training before filming
  • Available to film a video
  • Attend the film screening and take part in a panel discussion

Applications are due June 1st. To complete the online application, click here. To download a flyer and application, click here.
